Kisii County Director of Education, Pius Ng’oma has urged students from the county who sat the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and their results canceled to accept the verdict.
Emesa Secondary School students were the most affected as 97 students results were cancelled over an irregularity in Chemistry paper 2.
He urged parents of the students whose exam were cancelled to bear with the situation and encourage them to re-sit for the exams.
Examination results for some 3,427 students who sat the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations were cancelled.
The Chairman of the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) George Magoha said results for 53 schools were withheld after the release of the 2018 examination results.
Counties affected include; Narok, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kisumu, Kisii, Homa Bay, Machakos, Migori, Garissa, Mandera, Wajir, Meru, Isiolo, Turkana, West Pokot, Kericho, and Bungoma.
He called on those affected to register for the 2019 examinations before the deadline which is on February 15.
